The core meditation programme blends traditional mindfulness and transcendental meditation methods with modern mindbody methods.

Foundation Classes

Anyone can enrol in any of the foundation level classes. To enrol in an advanced class you first need to complete Foundations of Mindfulness. Everyday mindfulness is the recommended precursor to Foundations of Mindfulness.

Everyday Mindfulness                                                                                 (1 class        $10)

An introduction to mindfulness.  Understanding stress and how it affects you.  Strategies and methods for living mindfully. Using breathing and everyday mindfulness interventions to help manage mild to moderate anxiety and the stress response.

Foundations                                                                                                    (3 classes   $30)

We begin our meditation classes with a zen-style breath-based concentration practice. Develop your physical foundations and the foundations of mindfulness. Reduce stress and neurological wind-up.  (Supporting research​).

​

Classes also include eyes-open practice which can help you to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life.

Embodiment                                                                                                   (3 classes   $30)

We extend our awareness to include different body regions, and deepen our connection and engagement with the regions of the body.  Reduce stress and neurological wind-up.  (Supporting research​).

Metta                                                                                                                (1 class       $10)

In a metta (or loving-kindness) meditation, we develop our ability to have compassion for ourselves and others.

Advanced meditation

Advanced Classes

You need to complete our foundational courses (foundations, embodiment, metta) or something equivalent before you enrol into any of the advanced courses.  We consider a 10-day vipassana retreat or a course in Mindfulness-based Stress ReductionTM to be equivalent.

Earth Breath                                                                                                (Retreat       $TBA)

Earth Breath methods are influenced by taoist energy practices.  We will deepen our ability to relax and remain grounded through meditating on our connection to the earth.  These methods are taught in an immersive meditation retreat setting incorporating sitting meditation, movement meditation and sound.  We start developing our sense of the core..

Pre-requisites:  Before you can enrol in Earth Breath you should either have completed our foundational courses (foundations, embodiment, metta) or an equivalent level of mindfulness meditation training (e.g. a 10-day vipassana retreat, Mindfulness-based Stress ReductionTM).  Please let us know your previous experience of meditation with your enquiry.

Core Meditation                                                                              (Class structure and cost TBA)

Core meditation uses transcendental methods anchored in mindfulness to explore the deeper questions.  Who are we at our core?  What is our essential nature?  How does our essential nature express through our mindbody?  How and why do we hold back the expression of our ultimate selves?

Pre-requisites:  Before you can enrol in Core Meditation you need to completed our Earth Breath course.​

Witnessing                                                                                                  (3 classes  $50)

Techniques designed to explore and release tension and trauma held in the body. These techniques blend modern body psychotherapy methods with traditional mindfulness approaches. How and why do you restrict the expression of your self?

May help with releasing deep emotional trauma, improving anxiety & depression, chronic pain and/or inflammatory conditions. 

​

Pre-requisites:  Before you can enrol in Witnessing you should either have completed our foundational courses (foundations, embodiment, metta) or an equivalent level of mindfulness meditation training (e.g. a 10-day vipassana retreat, Mindfulness-based Stress ReductionTM).  Please let us know your previous experience of meditation with your enquiry.
